Honest status: QuoteZila is pre-launch. Customers cannot post jobs yet, and no businesses are listed yet. This page explains how QuoteZila will work for cleaners, and for homeowners who need one. We are signing up local businesses first, starting in Cheshire.
What does a cleaner do?
A cleaner looks after the cleanliness of homes and small businesses, either regularly or as a one-off. Typical jobs include:
- Regular weekly or fortnightly home cleaning
- One-off deep cleans
- End of tenancy cleaning
- Oven, hob and appliance cleaning
- Carpet and upholstery cleaning
- Cleaning after building work
- Window cleaning
- Small office and shop cleaning
What should I check before hiring a cleaner?
General guidance, whichever way you find someone:
- Put the scope in writing: which rooms, which tasks, how often and for how many hours.
- Agree who supplies cleaning products and equipment.
- Ask whether they carry public liability insurance, particularly if they will hold keys or work while you are out.
- Ask how keys and access will be handled and how to reach them if there is a problem.
- For end of tenancy, check your tenancy agreement and any checklist from your landlord or letting agent so that the clean covers what they expect.
- Agree whether the price is per hour or fixed for the job.
QuoteZila plans to show customers what we checked about each business and when. Those labels describe checks only and are not a guarantee of any business or its work.
How will QuoteZila help me find cleaners near me?
- Post your job for free. Describe the cleaning work and where you are.
- Matched local businesses send quotes. Each job is planned to go to a small number of suitable businesses, not the whole town.
- Compare. See what each quote includes, ask questions and review what has been checked.
- Choose. Pick who you want and agree the details in writing.
This is how QuoteZila is designed to work. Customer posting is not open yet.
What should I put in my cleaner job description?
- Say the size of the property and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms.
- List what you want done and any extras such as ovens, windows or carpets.
- Say whether you want a one-off clean or regular visits.
- Mention pets, allergies or products to avoid.
Are you a cleaner in Cheshire? How can you get local work with no lead fees?
QuoteZila is built so that local businesses spend their time quoting, not buying enquiries. Our intention is no lead fees: you would not pay per enquiry, per job or per quote. The first 500 businesses to join at launch (the Launch 500) get 2 months free with no card needed. After that the planned price is £15 a month, starting later and only once you accept the terms. That is our current plan, not a contract. Choose Cleaning as your main trade on the sign-up form and tell us how far you travel.

Which Cheshire towns will QuoteZila cover?
We are launching first in Crewe, Nantwich, Sandbach, Congleton, Winsford, Middlewich, and the wider county. See the Cheshire areas page for details. A launch area is where we plan to start, not a claim that cleaners are already listed there.
Frequently asked questions about cleaners
What is a deep clean?
A deep clean goes further than a regular tidy and wipe-down, usually covering areas such as inside cupboards, behind appliances, limescale and grease. What is included varies, so ask each business to list it.
What does end of tenancy cleaning include?
It varies. Check your tenancy agreement and any checklist from your landlord or letting agent, and ask the cleaner to confirm that their clean covers it.
Do cleaners bring their own supplies?
Often, but not always. Agree up front who supplies products and equipment, and mention any products you prefer or want to avoid.
Can I find a cleaner on QuoteZila yet?
