About QuoteZila
A new UK local jobs marketplace, starting in Cheshire. Here is what we are building, and where we honestly are today.
QuoteZila in brief: what it is and what it is not
- It is a new UK local jobs and quotes marketplace: customers post a job, matched local businesses send quotes.
- It is launching first in Cheshire (Crewe, Nantwich, Sandbach, Congleton, Winsford and Middlewich) and is currently pre-launch.
- It is free for customers (the plan), with a Launch 500 for businesses: 2 months free, no card, then a planned £15 a month, with our intention of no lead fees.
- It is not live for job posting yet, and it does not yet list any businesses or reviews.
- It is not a tradesperson, does not do the work and does not guarantee any business, price or result.
- It is not affiliated with any other directory, review site or trade body.
What is QuoteZila?
QuoteZila is a new UK local jobs marketplace. The idea is simple: a customer describes a job once, matched local businesses send quotes, and the customer compares them and chooses who to hire. It is launching first in Cheshire, starting with tradespeople and small service businesses such as plumbers, electricians, cleaners and gardeners.
Why are we building it?
We think local businesses should spend their time quoting and doing the work, not buying enquiries they may never win. And we think homeowners should be able to ask for a quote without chasing five different companies. QuoteZila is our attempt at a fairer, clearer way to connect the two.
What do we intend to do differently?
No lead fees, as our intention
We do not plan to charge per enquiry, per job or per quote. This is an intention, not a contract, and final terms will be confirmed before any charge.
One flat monthly price
The Launch 500 get 2 months free with no card needed. After that the plan is £15 a month, starting later and only once terms are accepted.
Fewer businesses per job
Each job is planned to go to a small number of local businesses, not the whole town, so quotes stay comparable.
Honest labels
We plan to show what we checked and when. Checks are not a guarantee of any business or its work, and reviews will be linked to real jobs.
Where are we now?
QuoteZila is pre-launch. We are signing up local businesses first, starting in Cheshire: Crewe (CW1), Nantwich, Sandbach, Congleton, Winsford and Middlewich. Customer job posting is not open yet, and it will be free for customers when it is.
Honest by design. We are a new, early-stage project. We do not have customer reviews, case studies or statistics to show yet, and we will not make them up. Everything on this site describes what we intend to build, and the service is provided as is while we get started.
