1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of quotezila.com (the "site") and the forms on it. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The site is run by QuoteZila, contact address: QuoteZila, 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX; email contact@quotezila.com. QuoteZila is operated by its owner. When we say "we", "us" or "QuoteZila" we mean the QuoteZila project and its owner.

2. Where QuoteZila is today

QuoteZila is pre-launch and early-stage. The marketplace is not live yet: customers cannot post jobs and businesses cannot receive jobs. Today the site lets local businesses register their interest in the Launch 500 and lets anyone contact us.

The site and everything described on it is provided "as is". Descriptions of how QuoteZila will work are our current plans and intentions. They are not promises, and they may change.

3. The Launch 500

The Launch 500 is our limited early-access group for the first 500 businesses to join at launch. Joining the list is free.

• Registering interest does not guarantee a place. We may check your details first, and we will explain how places are allocated when we launch.
• If you get a place, you get 2 months free with no card needed. The 2 months start when your business is approved and live on the platform, not when you submit the form.
• We may decline, or later remove, a business that gives false information or breaks these terms.

4. Fees, payment and lead fees

We do not take any payment through this site. We do not ask for card details when you register interest.

• After the free period: the planned price is £15 a month (plus VAT if it applies). It starts later and only once you accept payment terms. We will email reminders and confirm the final price, VAT and terms before your 2 months end.
• Access after the free period: to keep using your business login you will need to accept those payment terms. Until you do, your business login is paused. Nothing is taken automatically.
• Lead fees: our intention is that there will be no lead fees (no charge per enquiry, job or quote). This is an intention and not a guarantee or a contract. The final terms will say exactly what is and is not charged.
• Cancelling: we intend membership to be monthly and cancel-any-time. The final terms will confirm this.

5. Customers (homeowners)

QuoteZila is intended to be free for customers. When customer job posting opens, customers will be able to describe a job, receive quotes from matched local businesses, compare them and choose who to hire.

6. QuoteZila is not the trader

QuoteZila is an introduction and quoting platform. Any contract for work is between the customer and the business. We do not carry out the work, and we do not guarantee any business, quote, price, availability or the quality of any work.

We plan to show labels about what we have checked and when. Those labels describe checks only. They are not a recommendation or guarantee. Customers should read each quote carefully, ask questions, and agree the details in writing before work starts.

7. Businesses: what we expect

If you register a business with us you confirm that:

• the information you give is accurate and up to date;
• you are legally able to carry out the work you offer, and hold any registrations, qualifications and insurance the work requires (for example, Gas Safe registration for gas work);
• you will deal fairly with customers and comply with the law, including consumer law.

8. Acceptable use

Please do not: submit false or misleading information; submit someone else's details without permission; send spam or use automated tools to flood our forms; try to disrupt, probe or break into the site or our systems; or use the site for anything unlawful. We may block access or ignore submissions we reasonably believe break these rules.

9. How we contact you

If you use a form on the site, we will use the details you give to reply and, if you tick the box on the sign-up form, to contact you about the Launch 500 and the platform launch. You can ask us to stop at any time by emailing contact@quotezila.com. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.

10. Our content

The QuoteZila name, logo, design and text on this site belong to us or our licensors. Please do not copy or reuse them commercially without our written permission. You may link to the site and quote short extracts with credit.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

Subject to that, and because the site is provided as is and is free to use at this stage: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or lost business or opportunities arising from your use of the site or from reliance on our plans; and, to the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected with the site is limited to the amount you have paid us (currently nothing).

12. Links to other sites

The site may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

13. Changes to these terms and to the site

We may update these terms and the site as QuoteZila develops. The "last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a material change to the Launch 500 terms, we will tell the businesses that have registered by email.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
