DJs and entertainers in Cheshire: local DJ and entertainment quotes, coming soon

What does a DJ or entertainer do?

DJs and entertainers provide music and entertainment for weddings, birthdays, children's parties and corporate events, from DJs and bands to magicians and face painters. Typical jobs include:

• Wedding DJs for the evening
• Birthday and anniversary party DJs
• Children's entertainers and party hosts
• Live bands and singers
• Magicians and other performers
• Sound and lighting hire

What should I check before hiring a DJ or entertainer?

General guidance, whichever way you find someone:

• Ask what is included: setup time, equipment, how long they perform and whether there is an extra charge for overtime.
• Confirm the venue's rules, such as noise limits and power supply, and whether the performer has insurance and tests their equipment.
• For children's entertainers, ask about their experience with the age group, and whether they have a background check if appropriate.
• Get a written agreement with the date, times, deposit and cancellation terms.

QuoteZila plans to show customers what we checked about each business and when. Those labels describe checks only and are not a guarantee of any business or its work.

How will QuoteZila help me find DJs and entertainers near me?

1. Post your job for free. Describe the DJ and entertainment work and where you are.
2. Matched local businesses send quotes. Each job is planned to go to a small number of suitable businesses, not the whole town.
3. Compare. See what each quote includes, ask questions and review what has been checked.
4. Choose. Pick who you want and agree the details in writing.

This is how QuoteZila is designed to work. Customer posting is not open yet.

What should I put in my DJ or entertainer job description?

• Give the event date, venue and how long you need entertainment.
• Describe the audience and the age of guests.
• Mention the music or the style you like, and any songs you do not want.
• State whether you need sound equipment and lighting.

Are you a DJ or entertainer in Cheshire? How can you get local work with no lead fees?

QuoteZila is built so that local businesses spend their time quoting, not buying enquiries. Our intention is no lead fees: you would not pay per enquiry, per job or per quote. The first 500 businesses to join at launch (the Launch 500) get 2 months free with no card needed. After that the planned price is £15 a month, starting later and only once you accept the terms. That is our current plan, not a contract. Choose DJ & entertainment as your main trade on the sign-up form and tell us how far you travel.

Which Cheshire towns will QuoteZila cover?

We are launching first in Crewe, Nantwich, Sandbach, Congleton, Winsford, Middlewich, and the wider county. See the Cheshire areas page for details. A launch area is where we plan to start, not a claim that DJs and entertainers are already listed there.
